Global Action Plan held a free
 'green issues' workshop for us on
13th March 2007
 
Staff, volunteers and MC members were invited to discuss how each individual can contribute
  • at home (low energy light bulbs, recyling, reduce water use, etc),
  • at work (reduce paper use, recycle paper, return ink cartridges to manufacturer, make sure all electrical equipment is turned off outside office hours and no PCs etc are left on stand-by, etc.) and
  • in the community (awareness raising, etc.).
We are also looking at how SDCAS, as an organisation, can operate more environmentally friendly.

Carolyn McCrossen from the Environment and Housing Department
held a workshop for our clients on 3rd July 2007 to
  • raise awareness about environmental campaigns taking place in Southwark
  • explain what actions are considered environmental crime, such as, littering and graffitii.
  • and help acess sevices to make requests for services and equipment.
